PERSEUS HOLDING THE HEAD OF MEDUSA

In this illustration we see Perseus holding the head of Medusa who he has slain. My model for this illustration was the famous renaissance bronze sculpture by Benvenuto Cellini.

I placed him in a temple like building that has Greek motif designs painted upon the walls. The border is a colored reconstruction of the polychrome cornice of the Gela treasury at Olympia.
